Mark 2nd November on your calendar for an intimate evening with world-renowned thereminist, synth artist, composer, and producer, Shueh-li Ong.
After more than a decade since her last Singapore show, Shueh-li returns with her Moog custom Etherwave for an electrifying program of jazz fusion, prog, and electronic music at the Battlebox, Fort Canning.
“I was given a guided tour of this underground WWII relic by my old friend Colin Goh of TRCL and was immediately struck by its charm. There was no denying the ambience would be perfect for me to present my music and the ever-so-shy theremin,” said Shueh-li.
If you’re hesitating to buy that ticket, don’t. You shall miss this unique experience with Shueh-li whose theremin playing has also appeared on Grammy-winning albums; the theremin is widely regarded as one of the most difficult instruments to master as it is played without physical contact.
Produced and presented by Shueh-li, this unforgettable night of sound in the one-of-a-kind backdrop, is also designed in support of the next gen of music makers who will perform as part of the program’s offering. By attending, you’ll encourage their development as well as contribute to the preservation of an important site in Singapore’s history!
