I am always extremely happy to receive kind words from my fans and friends. However when the media takes an interest; that’s when I am beyond elated that my hard work is appreciated and has paid off!

Shueh-li conducted a two part public Master Class for the Electronic Music Lab (part of the National University of Singapore’s Centre for the Arts). She effortlessly engaged a mixed crowd of students and members of the public, bringing historical and technical facts to life, and drawing them out of their shells to participate.

The second session of the Master Class was more packed as the first, which I credit to the vivid impression she left from the start. She concluded it with a hands-on improvisation session that involved all of the participants in creating an original piece of live electronic music. This was a significant feat of people management and audience engagement, especially since most of them had met for the first time and had little or no prior experience.
Shueh-li’s Master Class met and exceeded our organization’s objectives for outreach, education, and creative development. Thank you!

OK, you totally got me this time … ‘My Summertime Dreams’ has been on repeat for the past half an hour on my computer.

It was like taking a musical LSD trip with erotic undertones!

Dear Shuehli, It was great to have you as our speaker at Monday’s Lunch Meeting! Your presentation found very tense interest and I have never seen those lunchers forgetting to eat and fighting to play the theremin. Take this as a compliment!

(Music From Another Land album) was like nothing I’ve ever heard before. I found it to be a deep, rich and well recorded CD. I’ve heard many songs that used the Theremin before, but none incorporated into the flavor of music that you have produced. First day ( I received it) I listened to it probably 5 times in a row!

Thanks for the concert. Our students were talking about it after school and for some who missed it, they were saying they wished they could’ve been there.

The music was absolutely right … just like high quality under scoring for film or TV

Isn’t It Strange’ (Trk 3 Shueh-li’s Xenovibes CD) is great for anyone who has been in one of those explosive love affairs… These violent delights have violent ends, And in their triumph die, like fire and powder, Which as they kiss, consume; Friar Laurence, Romeo and Juliet.

Wow! What an awesome program. It was a musical and cultural experience for our students that rivals the programs sent around the country in the 1930s. What our students were exposed to yesterday is cutting edge music with the best technology available to musicians today.
